Software is Designed to Integrate Sales, Marketing, Production and Support Databases
DULLES, Virginia — March 5, 2001 — INLINE Corporation announced today the formal implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management program (CRM). The new system integrates INLINE’s previous databases of sales, marketing, production and technical support information providing one interface for a snapshot-in-time view of a customer or prospect.
INLINE’s Director of Sales, Sean Rooney, says the new system will greatly streamline operations and increase the efficiency of the direct sales team. “This allows an Account Executive, and in fact anyone in the company, to pull up a customer’s record and find out exactly what is going on. If a system is in for repair or they have support questions, our sales team knows about.” Mr. Rooney stated. Previously this information could only be put together by tapping into several different databases to which only portions of the company had access. “The information was there and it was accessible. We just couldn’t get to it immediately.” Mr. Rooney explained.
The new CRM program promises to give INLINE better and more up-to-date information on what customers are buying, what their questions are and where there is room for improvement. Both customers and INLINE staff are expected to benefit immediately from the new system. The implementation follows INLINE Corporation’s relocation to new, company owned facilities in Dulles Virginia last month. Part of the reason for the move was to facilitate the creation of a new customer service department that serves as the first line of service to customers with questions or concerns. The CRM will allow for optimal communications between customer service and the support engineers while at the same time lets sales people know what is going on with their customers without having to hunt around for the information.
