New NAS and SAN Solutions Coming Soon
DULLES, Virginia — June 12, 2001 — INLINE Corporation announced today the impending release of two new storage solutions aimed at expanding INLINE’s presence in the SAN market and fully entering the Network Attached Storage market.
The SAN Foundation 1200 is a high-end storage solution with performance in excess of 1 Gigabyte per second. It will be targeted toward enterprise customers who need high-performance and reliability. The NA 4000 Series will be INLINE’s first NAS product update since the introduction of the MorStor NetRAID NAS. The NA 4000 is a mid-range product that can scale up to 17.2 TB with a single head.
INLINE’s CEO, John R. Tibbitts, says that the new products will give INLINE customers a greater choice of solutions and a better value. “EMC and NetApp are offering customers products with performance significantly below the SF 1200 and NA 4000. And they are charging a premium to do it. These products are going to give end-users the option of getting high-performance, highly reliable and available storage as well as excellent service without blowing their entire IT budget. I think that is something everyone is looking for these days.”
