INLINE CORPORATION LAUNCHES NEW CRM SYSTEM

Software is Designed to Integrate Sales, Marketing, Production and Support Databases

DULLES, Virginia — March 5, 2001 — INLINE Corporation announced today the formal implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management program (CRM). The new system integrates INLINE’s previous databases of sales, marketing, production and technical support information providing one interface for a snapshot-in-time view of a customer or prospect.

INLINE’s Director of Sales, Sean Rooney, says the new system will greatly streamline operations and increase the efficiency of the direct sales team. “This allows an Account Executive, and in fact anyone in the company, to pull up a customer’s record and find out exactly what is going on. If a system is in for repair or they have support questions, our sales team knows about.” Mr. Rooney stated. Previously this information could only be put together by tapping into several different databases to which only portions of the company had access. “The information was there and it was accessible. We just couldn’t get to it immediately.” Mr. Rooney explained.

The new CRM program promises to give INLINE better and more up-to-date information on what customers are buying, what their questions are and where there is room for improvement. Both customers and INLINE staff are expected to benefit immediately from the new system. The implementation follows INLINE Corporation’s relocation to new, company owned facilities in Dulles Virginia last month. Part of the reason for the move was to facilitate the creation of a new customer service department that serves as the first line of service to customers with questions or concerns. The CRM will allow for optimal communications between customer service and the support engineers while at the same time lets sales people know what is going on with their customers without having to hunt around for the information.

INLINE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES PRODUCT RELEASE PLANS

New NAS and SAN Solutions Coming Soon

DULLES, Virginia — June 12, 2001 — INLINE Corporation announced today the impending release of two new storage solutions aimed at expanding INLINE’s presence in the SAN market and fully entering the Network Attached Storage market.

The SAN Foundation 1200 is a high-end storage solution with performance in excess of 1 Gigabyte per second. It will be targeted toward enterprise customers who need high-performance and reliability. The NA 4000 Series will be INLINE’s first NAS product update since the introduction of the MorStor NetRAID NAS. The NA 4000 is a mid-range product that can scale up to 17.2 TB with a single head.

INLINE’s CEO, John R. Tibbitts, says that the new products will give INLINE customers a greater choice of solutions and a better value. “EMC and NetApp are offering customers products with performance significantly below the SF 1200 and NA 4000. And they are charging a premium to do it. These products are going to give end-users the option of getting high-performance, highly reliable and available storage as well as excellent service without blowing their entire IT budget. I think that is something everyone is looking for these days.”

NAS

A NAS system is a specialized device whose function is to serve files to clients through a direct connection to a network such as a LAN. A NAS device consists of two parts: 1) An engine which handles file services using standard network file system (NFS) or common Internet file system (CIFS) commands; and 2) One or more storage devices on which the data is stored. The engine and storage device may be encased in a single box or they may be two separate boxes connected together by a SCSI or Fibre Channel host bus adapter. Because a NAS system moves data in files as opposed to blocks, it is most often implemented in situations where the primary requirement is the shared access of files by a number of clients. Other Common applications for NAS include consolidated storage, Internet and e-commerce applications, and digital media. NAS systems are usually not appropriate for high-performance applications such as databases.

INLINE Corporation manufactures and markets a high-performance, redundant NAS device known as NetRAID. It delivers fast, simple, reliable and cost-effective file service. Based on software specifically engineered by the company for data access, NetRAID accelerates application performance, scales from small workgroups to large enterprise environments, and accommodate the world’s most technologically diverse and demanding networks.

Benefits of INLINE NetRAID NAS:

Easy To Add

NetRAID NAS devices can be added to the network in a matter of minutes, without the need to bring the LAN down.

Increases Efficiency of Network Servers

Because the NetRAID NAS is designed specifically to serve files you can offload high-bandwidth, file-serving tasks and allow the Network Server to focus on critical business tasks such as application handling and e-mail.

Facilitates Sharing of Data

NetRAID NAS allows you to connect to multiple operating systems and share data among disparate clients and servers. It supports both the Unix Network File System (NFS) protocol and the Microsoft Common Internet File System (CIFS) in order to facilitate cross-platform data sharing

Minimizes Staffing Costs

Because of simplified file serving nature of NetRAID NAS, the management and maintenance required is negligible compared with network server Direct Attached Storage.

SCSI storage

Ultra SCSI Storage

Storage devices utilizing Ultra SCSI interfaces provide customers with a tried and true technology for their storage needs. SCSI is a parallel I/O bus that has transfer speeds of up to 80 MB per second and can connect multiple devices. Because of this SCSI has been used for storage for quite some time, even though the technology was originally developed for other peripheral devices.

MorStor U320: Legacy Storage Technology

INLINE Corporation’s MorStor U320 uses the Wide Ultra SCSI2 standard, a 16-bit bus capable of 80 MB per second transfer rates, the maximum currently available using any SCSI storage standard. For organizations looking for a tried and true, legacy standard the U320 is an excellent choice. The U320 can be used in a Storage Area Network, as part of a NAS appliance or as Direct Attached Storage. It is ideal for workgroups and organizations who need additional storage capacity, but are not yet ready for Fibre Channel.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

With dual active array controllers the U320’s performance is virtually doubled. Dual LVDS host channels and high performance LVDS disk drives eliminate the controller bottlenecks that are typical in other systems.

HIGH AVAILABILITY & DATA INTEGRITY

Redundant, hot swappable components provide fault tolerance and allow the repair or replacement of parts without experiencing any costly system downtime. The use of global hot spares allows for automatic unattended disk rebuilds in the event of a disk error or failure.

SCALABLE & FLEXIBLE UPGRADE PATHS

Like all INLINE storage solutions, the U320 contains modular components, allowing customers to easily expand storage capacity without sacrificing initial investments. Multiple U320 arrays can be linked together providing users with almost unlimited capacity.

RAID Levels Supported:

0, 1, 3, 5, 0+1, 5+1 and JBOD

TF220

The MorStor TF220 is the ideal product for organizations looking for a high-quality, cost effective Fibre Channel storage solution. The TF220 features INLINE’s TruFibre architecture with two active Fibre Channel connections for a maximum throughput of 200 MB per second. With all of the features of the MorStor TruFibre Family and a total capacity of 13 TB, the TF220 is a great solution for smaller enterprises or workgroups looking to add expandable storage to a heterogeneous network or a cluster.

The TF220 is the hardworking “little brother” of the MorStor TruFibre Family. It has all the features of its older sibling with a more value conscious performance design for entry-level Fibre Channel installations.

TF400

The MorStor TF400 is INLINE Corporation’s high performing Fibre Channel RAID solution for enterprises with demanding storage needs. The TF400 features INLINE’s TruFibre architecture and four active Fibre Channel connections for a maximum throughput of 400 MB per second. The TF400 has all of the features that are the hallmarks of the MorStor TruFibre Channel Family. The system can hold a maximum of 348 drives for a total storage capacity of 25 Terabytes. It is the ideal solution for data centers, co-location facilities, storage service providers and any other mid-range to large organizations with a need for higher bandwidth and high availability for their data storage.

The TF400 is the powerful “big brother” of the MorStor TruFibre family. It has high performance and all the features that come standard in the TruFibre series.
